Not in the mood

I just have not been in the blogging mood lately. But today I sat down and caught up on blogs that I have not read in quite some time. It kind of got me in the mood to catch people up on what is going on in our lives. Carter has started t-ball, which he is not impressed with. He doesn't throw a fit or anything but just says he doesn't like it and doesn't want to play again. He asked who wanted to do this anyway, which was him. He does fine at it, the same level of the other kids so I don't know if it is just not exciting enough at this point. He has learned to swim half-way. A big step from last summer, he didn't even want his head wet. He started swimming above water and now has started swimming under water also.
Our summer officially started this week. They are out of their school and I am done with work for the summer. It is nice to have the time off. We have about 6 weeks until he starts kindergarten. I am trying to get more excited about the idea, which I am having a hard time doing. His first day is August 12th. We have lots of activities planned. I think our weekends are booked until he does start school.
Next weekend we are heading to Nebraska to see Jamie's aunt and uncle. His cousin also had a baby in March that we haven't met. So it will be a lot of fun catching up, spending time at the lake and on the boat.
Ava is still little Miss Ava. She has been quite pleasant lately. Maybe some of the terrible 2's attitude has passed or she finally realizes she is not going to get away with acting that way and has decided to just give up on it.
I hope everyone has a great summer and 4th. I will try and blog more. Maybe even get some pictures posted at some point.
